#sol15 Day 1 : What Should I Write ?

It’s my very first time in any writer community sharing my love for reading and writing. I was sort of confused about the topic. ‘What should I write’ I’ve been thinking about this for so many days then a thought hit my mind. It’s slice of life so it would be better to share a little piece of my life on first day.

So here it goes.

I’m brought up in an environment where literature is nothing but a useless pile of words unless it helps you getting good marks in exams. Plus my friends are not a great fan of literature either. Truth be told, this interest was developed by my self-study. I took baby steps to get familiar with this world. So far, from my native language to a foreign language, I’ve travelled a long journey which is still incomplete.

Lately I’ve been told that ‘if I was native English speaker, I’d have been shot dead for my poor English’.

Well, I know that was rude, harsh, cold-blooded comment because if I was a native English speaker, why I would feel an urge to learn this foreign language. Nonetheless it was a wake up call for me that it’s time to break the ice. Long story short, I’ve stopped online chatting or anything that involves real people with no respect for others’ feelings but when I stumbled upon this blog where people would comment with no biased hatred, I thought it’s time to find such people.

So here it starts a new part of my eternal journey 🙂

Introverts. What a great word and a concept that many of us teachers are working to understand. Those with the loudest voices are not always those with the best ideas. You inspire me to continue on. Thank you for your honesty, bravery, and insight. Keep on writing! By the way, I bet many, if not most, Americans speak only one language.

I love that you’re willing to continue to grow and take risks despite the hurtful words other people have spoken. I find the written word to be a powerful mentor when I cannot find the words to speak. I hope that sharing your reading and writing journey here will bring you inspiration, reassurance and joy!

Indeed. When it comes to introverts, words are one of those things that inspire and help them in their tough time. And I hope this #sol month will help you in achieving your goals. Happy to see your comment though.

I’m really grateful to you and your mates for this awesome program. It’s very helpful for people like me who are totally unconscious of how this writing thing works.

Thanks for being nice by the way. By now, I’m just somewhere between a learner and an average.
